You have not made a choice yet, so only strictly necessary cookies are active.
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. This policy also covers similar technologies that read or write to your device — browser local storage, pixels, and web beacons — because the law treats them the same way.
This policy explains what we store, why, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
When you first visit wellnecity.com, a banner appears at the bottom of the page. Until you make a choice, no analytics or marketing technology is loaded at all — the scripts are not fetched, so nothing is set and no data leaves your browser.
Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting: both are single buttons of equal prominence on the first screen. Closing or ignoring the banner is not treated as consent.
We record which categories you allowed, the date and time, and whether you accepted all, rejected all, or chose individually. That record is our evidence of consent under Article 7(1) GDPR and stays in your browser for 12 months, after which we ask again.
These are required to deliver the site you asked for and to keep it secure. They do not require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and they cannot be switched off. We also apply rate limiting to our contact forms, which processes your IP address in memory to block abuse; it is not stored.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| wn_cookie_consent | Wellnecity (browser local storage) | Stores the cookie categories you allowed, when you chose, and how — our record that your consent was given. | 12 months |
| theme | Wellnecity (browser local storage) | Remembers your light/dark display preference. | Until cleared |
We use these to see which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck. Our primary analytics tool, Umami, is self-hosted on our own infrastructure, so this data is not shared with an advertising network. Google Analytics entries below apply only where we have it enabled.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| umami.* | Umami — self-hosted by Wellnecity | Counts page views and referrers in aggregate. Self-hosted, so this data is not shared with a third-party advertising network. | Session |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors and sessions to produce aggregate traffic reports. Only set if you allow Analytics. | Up to 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors for 24-hour reporting. | 24 hours |
These measure whether our campaigns reach the right audiences. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_* | Attributes a site visit to an advertising campaign and measures conversions. Only set if you allow Marketing. | Up to 90 days |
Where Google tags are enabled on this site, we run Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal — analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization — set to denied by default, and updated only to reflect the categories you allow. If you decline, we additionally delete any Google cookies already present on this domain.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the Manage Preferences button above, or the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. Turning a category off takes effect immediately and deletes the cookies that category had set.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
